About Us

Our Beliefs

What we hold to be true, and why it shapes everything we do as Chosen Church Atlanta.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to mankind, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason (2 Timothy 3:15–16; 1 Peter 2:2).

God: Eternal, Creator, Redeemer

The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10, 11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).

Jesus: Son of God, Savior, Resurrected

The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31; Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; 1 Peter 2:22), His miracles (Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38), His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; 1 Corinthians 15:4), His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9; Acts 1:11; Acts 2:33; Philippians 2:9–11; Hebrews 1:3).

Holy Spirit: Co-equal, Co-eternal, Co-existent

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. He is co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent with the Father and with the Son. His ministry upon the earth is to convict and convert man as well as be the great paraclete (comforter, counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener and standby) to the Church. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus to all believers and is received subsequent to and is distinct from the experience of New Birth. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:29; Acts 1:4; 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:1–31). The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is meant to empower the believer to be a witness of Jesus Christ by the preaching and demonstration of the Gospel. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are also evidence of this experience. Whereas there is one initial baptism, there are many subsequent infillings of the Spirit. The ultimate purpose of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is so that we, the believers, may have power to be witnesses (Matthew 3:11; John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2).

Baptism

The Lord Jesus Christ, Head of the Church, established two ordinances for the Church to follow: Water Baptism and Communion. Baptism in water, by full immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord. It is for all believers. This holy sacrament identifies the believer with Jesus in His death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47–48; Romans 6:4; Acts 20:21; Hebrews 10:22).

Communion

The ordinance of Communion is also a commandment of the Lord Jesus that must be received consistently until His return. Only believers can come to the Table of the Lord, which consists of the bread and the cup. The bread – His body, which was broken for us. The cup – His blood that was shed for us. Both elements are witnesses of the New Covenant believers now enjoy while prophetically declaring His soon return (2 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 11:26).

Sanctification

The Scripture teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return (1 Thessalonians 5:23; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Philippians 3:12–14).

The Church

The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven (Ephesians 1:22–23; 2:22; Hebrews 12:33). A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the Church in: evangelization of the world (Mark 16:15–20); worship of God (John 4:23, 24); edification of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11–16).

Healing

Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 53:4–5; Matthew 8:16–17).

Resurrection

The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is the imminent and blessed hope of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Titus 2:12; 1 Corinthians 15:51–52; Romans 8:23).

Promises

The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the Millennial reign of Christ on earth is the Scriptural promise and the world’s hope (2 Thessalonians 1:17; Revelation 19:11–14; Romans 11:26–27; Revelation 20:1–7).

Judgment

There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Revelation 19:20; Revelation 20:10–15).

“We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22

Give

Give Today

Not equal in giving, but equal in sacrifice.

Why Give?

An act of worship and gratitude.

Nehemiah 10:35 reminds God’s people to bring the firstfruits of their harvest to the house of the Lord, year after year. Giving has always been an act of worship — a tangible way of saying thank You for everything God has provided.

Every gift, offering, and tithe given at Chosen Church Atlanta helps spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, both right here in metro Atlanta and around the world — from the hands-on outreach of Chosen Local to our Chosen Global partnership with World Vision Tanzania.

Why give? So you can be a blessing to someone else.

“Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

2 Corinthians 9:6

May God bless your giving.

Leadership

Meet Pastor O & Lady E

Oshebar and Ebonie Hardman, affectionately known to their church family as Pastor O and Lady E, co-founded Chosen Church Atlanta together, bringing two decades of ministry, marriage, and service in Atlanta.

Oshebar Hardman

Senior Pastor · “Pastor O”

Oshebar L. Hardman has a passion for helping others see the best within themselves. Growing up with both parents in ministry, he has been involved in church since he could remember. Ministry was a major influence during his formative years. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of South Carolina where he received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue an engineering career. It was during this season where God began to deal with him significantly leading him to his purpose. He truly accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and became heavily involved in ministry.

While active in ministry at Elizabeth Baptist Church, he met and married his lovely wife Ebonie after only knowing each other for two months. He continued to follow God’s will for his life and accepted the call to preach the gospel in 2004. He was licensed and ordained under his father, the late Bishop Oscar Hardman, in 2007. He continued in ministry while working as a mechanical engineer. In 2013 he became Senior Pastor of Second Mount Vernon Baptist Church and pastored for 9 years while continuing to be bi-vocational as the VP of Outreach with the AND Campaign. He continues to exemplify the attributes of service, dedication, and leadership with a heart for the people. He faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of Light of the World Christian Tabernacle International for nearly 4 years. A ministry that has local and global impact for the Kingdom of God. Under his leadership the ministry experienced growth spiritually and numerically and thrived in effective soul winning and community engagement. Pastor Hardman later founded Chosen Church Atlanta and is excited about the move of God for Kingdom progress for the future.

Pastor Hardman holds various degrees from Luther Rice College & Seminary, including a Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Leadership and Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling. He is a proud and active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. and has served on many other organizations and boards including the AND Campaign where he formerly served as Vice President of Outreach networking with pastors and leaders and establishing local chapters across the United States. Pastor Hardman’s mission is reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and cultivating them into true believers. He and his lovely wife Ebonie are the proud parents of four beautiful daughters.

Ebonie Hardman

Leading Lady · “Lady E”

Lady Ebonie Hardman was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia; she is the proud daughter of a father from Kenya and a mother from St. Petersburg, Florida, a heritage that has shaped her deep appreciation for faith, family, and culture. In 2004, she married Pastor Oshebar Hardman after knowing him for only two months, a testimony to faith, divine timing, and God’s perfect plan. Pastor Hardman serves as the Senior Pastor of Chosen Church Atlanta in the metro Atlanta area. Together they are the proud parents of four beautiful daughters: Olivia, Oceana, Olympia, and Opal.

Lady Hardman believes her God given purpose is to support her husband and family while helping to guide them toward the destinies ordained for their lives. She embraces her role as a wife, mother, and partner in ministry with faith, humility, and dedication.

Before entering healthcare, Lady Hardman spent ten years working in accounting and financial management, building a strong foundation in business and leadership. She later followed her passion for helping others and became a Registered Nurse specializing in Nursing Informatics, blending healthcare, technology, and data to improve patient care. She currently serves as the Director of Research Informatics in Information Technology at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, where she has worked for the past 14 years, contributing to cancer research and advancing systems that support lifesaving clinical discoveries. Her career reflects more than 25 years of professional experience in finance, healthcare, research informatics, and leadership. Continuing her commitment to serving families in need, Lady Hardman recently founded Guided Promise Services (GPS), a private homecare agency specializing in pediatric skilled nursing and personal care services. Through this work, she remains dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and supporting families through compassionate care.

In addition to her professional career and ministry, Lady Hardman is deeply committed to community service and has been a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated since 1995. Lady Hardman holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Alabama A&M University, a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University, and a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics from Vanderbilt University.

Through ministry, mentorship, leadership, and service, Lady Hardman continues to inspire others to walk boldly in faith, purpose, and excellence.

Iron sharpens iron.

Your story isn’t finished, and neither is your assignment. We want to walk this next season with you.

Chosen Local

Faith, right here at home.

Chosen Local is our commitment to serving metro Atlanta — community outreach, service projects, and partnerships that put love into action in our own backyard.

We’re not just building a church — we’re building a neighborhood.

Chosen Global

Chosen, without borders.

Chosen Church Atlanta has partnered with World Vision Tanzania to bring relief, hope, and sponsorship to vulnerable children and families — and this is only the beginning of where God is sending us.

Since commencing operations in 1981, WVT has become one of Tanzania’s largest humanitarian and development organizations, working across 14 regions to ensure life in all its fullness for children and their families — through health and nutrition, clean water and sanitation, education, child protection, and economic empowerment for vulnerable households.

As Vice-Chairperson of Tanzania’s National Children’s Council, Genoveva stood before more than 1,000 leaders at the country’s Annual NGO Forum and handed the Deputy Prime Minister a children’s Call to Action on malnutrition — asking for school meal programs, nutrition education, and support for struggling families.
